Loss is a huge motivator for many characters in the beginning of the season, including Boyd, who is reeling from the loss of Erica when he comes back to town a changed kid. “He’s a man scorned, and he’s out for blood,” Sinqua Walls said. “He’s massively in touch with his wolf-like tendencies and still trying to control them and still learning, and now he’s kind of breaking out, not sure of who to trust. He has a tendency now to want to lash out, and there’s no one there to guide him in how to become a good wolf.”

I don’t know what hurts the most right now, the Berica feels or the Derek Pack feels.
“I think I watched Derek’s heart break today.” Erica said later that night, while she was leaning against Isaac’s chest, the day’s events replaying in her head. “Stiles’, too. It was like they realized that even though they’re always saving each other, they’ll never have each other the way they want each other.”
“What do you mean?” Isaac asked, his fingers playing with the ends of her hair.
“He can’t be our pack until Scott is. Scott can’t be our pack unless he leaves Allison, or Allison leaves him. And trust me, that’s not a bond easily broken.”
Isaac cleared his throat awkwardly, as if not wanting to think about Erica with another.
“They’re too dependent on other people. Him on us, Stiles on Scott, to be only them. And I think they realized that today, and it broke their hearts.”

Personal headcanon: Derek got his pack together before this mission and gave them very specific instructions regarding this eventuality.
Derek: Stiles is an idiot. If you tell him to run he will stand in front of you and play human shield. Do not let him do that. If you have to run away, just bring him the fuck with you.
Isaac & Erica: ::each raise a hand in question::
Derek: Try to avoid knocking him out first.

if you like this pairing, please ignore me. I don’t want to annoy anyone, I’m just expressing my probably biased sterek opinion because I have feels that need out.
This scene is exactly the reason why I can’t see Stiles interested in Erica that way. He’s wanted to get some action for a while, and there’s finally a super hot girl showing interest in him and he is… not even looking at her.
All I’m saying is that, this should have caught his attention a lot more than it did. Even with the water pool coming under the door.
I think he never saw her that way at all, and that’s why he could pull the batman/catwoman line. And I didn’t see his opinion changing after she confessed, either.
I can see them being BFF or even better, Stiles being the pack’s mum. Because, have you see that preview where he’s protecting Erica and Isaac? Like, silly Stiles keeps forgetting he doesn’t have super powers and his pups do, but he doesn’t care because he’s the pack mum.
That’s just the most precious thing ever. And one happy pack needs to happen AND pack dads, too!

Stiles, you’re not a werewolf. omg what are you doing. Stiles. Your Pack daddy instincts are kicking in, aren’t they? I just love how Isaac and Erica are allowing this, like omg protect us alpha mum! I can’t. The feels. Oh god.
So far, Erica has kissed Derek. Tried to get it on with Scott. Toyed with Stiles. She’s having “fun” with Jackson and Isaac next week. And she’s kissing Boyd, too.
Can we just accept the fact that being a werewolf made Erica discover her sexuality and she is in fact NOT looking for a relationship?? She just wants to have fun. With people, in general. Y’know.
Can we talk about this for a moment?
They both know Erica can’t get on Scott’s good side at the moment, after what happened with him and Allison. So why is she asking? And why didn’t Derek say to go for Stiles since the beginning? Why does he pause and huffs to then grunt ‘either’ like he were thinking ‘I don’t like this, and Erica back off, you are not allowed to push my buttons’?
Sure this is more subtle than “you make a good batman” but it’s still there, you know. Just saying…
